About Me

Jamila is a non-award winning writer and blogger from a small town in Maryland, though she dreams of becoming one in the near future. Writing since she finally learned how to hold a pencil (the right way), Jamila is the author of numerous short stories (some good enough the publish- most not), a novel in progress (80 pages and counting, whoo-hoo!), and a few fanfics (for her fanfiction page, click here). She started this blog with only two things on hand- a dream to become successful and the clunky, old Toshiba laptop that she received in fifth grade, hence the title. When she's not plunking away on the keyboard or being a adorkable nut, Jamila works diligently at her current job as a high school student. After graduation, she plans on living the good life as a big-time author...but has also made back-up plans to go to college and get a real job like a normal person, just in case things don't work out.

Besides writing, Jamila enjoys activities such as playing the piano, baking, singing, and drawing (although she is only good at a few of them). She hates math, snobs, slow Internet connections, and absolutely loathes physical labor. For more information about Jamila, feel free to contact her via e-mail or Twitter, or post a note in the comment box and she'll reply to you as quickly as possible (she loves to hear from her readers!).
